Has somebody successfully tried using DAC in Barefoot mode?

I have been trying to use the DAC FTL on Barefoot mode with 4 flash modules. Seems like the format() routine is being repeatedly invoked through the ftl_open -- and within the format() routine set_bad_block is marking a large number of blocks to be bad. I suspect its related to how interrupts are being handled in ftl_isr and enabled in ftl_open.

On the other hand, I tried Greedy FTL in Barefoot mode -- it worked. I tried DAC FTL in Amigos mode -- it worked! Seems like there is a bug in DAC, which gets triggered in Barefoot mode.

Any comments would be helpful.

Here is the minicom output -- grub does not get even initiated after this.

Sorry for the late reply
This problem might be related to the insufficient SRAM capacity.

The FTL metadata size of DAC is more than 64KB in case of the 128GB NAND capacity.

I'm not sure but, including firmware code and FTL metadata, 96KB SRAM is not sufficient for DAC at that case.

If you use a GNU compilation tool, please add this code below into the \build_gnu\ld_script file to prevent building when the size is larger than SRAM capacity.

MEMORY
{
 ram (a) : ORIGIN = 0, LENGTH = 96k
